16 Months

Today our little Monkey turned 16 months old. I can't even believe it! He grows so much every day and learns new things. He's starting to run! If we ask him to get his shoes he'll go to the shoe rack get a pair and bring it back to you. Then you ask him to sit down, he sits and we put on his shoes! It's so cute. :)

Tonight we stopped at Sonic for dinner (a last minute decision). When our order arrived I handed back Monkey's burger. His little hand grabbed the paper bag. Zach usually will take it and start to rip pieces off to give to Monkey. Since Monkey took the bag on his own Zach decided to see what he'd do with it. Imagine our amazement when Monkey reached into the bag and started to rip pieces off and feed himself. He's getting so big! :) Now if he would just start talking we'd be really on a roll. :) He has started to say "Mamamamama" and even though he's not talking to or about me it the sweetest sound I've ever heard. I can't wait until he says "Mommy!" And the day he says "I love you" I think my heart will burst with the overabundance of happiness I'll feel. :) I tell him about a million times a day "I love you! I love you so much Gideon!" and for now he just kind of looks at me like "Ok Mom...." :) More pictures to come in the next update. :)
