Monkey is finally, finally, FINALLY starting to use some words. The consistent words we hear with ZERO prompting are as follows: apple (a-ba), Bubba (which is what I call Ebby), Rawr (as in: what a Lion says!), Dada (and sometimes Daddy) and Mama (no Mommy yet). Words he can say if prompted by one of us: Tyty, Layla (Wra-wra), I want (Ah wa), open (Oooooo), Please (Beeee), Car (Ca), Bird (Bur), Tree (tee), Up (Uh), Down (Da while pointing), All Done (Ah Dah) and Akoakoa (the name where we live! Ako-ko).
It's so amazing to hear him say all these words and it really makes us smile. :) We're getting there, slowly but surely. He has speech therapy twice a month and I really think what they do with him and what they teach US is helping tremendously. It's even helping stop his tantrums!
In related news: I just finished my first 2 days of the CPST course! CPST stands for Child Passenger Safety Technician. It's all about car seat safety and I'm LOVING it. :) I can't wait to be certified and spread my knowledge all over the place. :) It's such a blessing to finally know what my calling in life is! It only took 28 years, a 4 year Bachelors degree and one unplanned pregnancy to find out! Lol. :) Hopefully I'll remember to take some pictures soon so I can share something more than just words with everyone. Although with Monkey sharing words is a huge happy accomplishment so maybe just words isn't a bad thing after all! :)
