The most recent development is that Monkey has decided to boycott naps. Yeah, I'm SO not ready for that step. I napped until I was in KINDERGARTEN! Even through kindergarten! How is it that my own child hates sleep? I love it! I loved it as a kid and I love it now! There is something seriously wrong with this kid if he thinks I'm ok with him not napping anymore. Because I'm totally not ok with it!
Ok, pictures. I have to go ALLLL the way back to Independence Day! I was that far behind in editing photo's. It's nuts! But I'm all caught up now so here ya go:

He carried that little flag around for the longest time. :)

Apparently we blow on the flag?

Here Dad! Do it this way! :)

He's on the run!

Monkey and Mommy sportin' the Red, White and Blue combo. :)

Listening to "Smash Mouth". :)

LOL! :)
A few weeks later we took a morning and went down the road and took our first ride on the "Pineapple Express" at the Dole Plantation. Dole Plantation is, I kid you not, 5 minutes from our house. In face, on the train ride you can see our housing community and it's not far at all! :) Monkey was kind of indifferent about riding the train...until we were on it. :) I have never, in his whole 2 years of life, seen him sit still for a full 20 minutes. This kid did not BUDGE! He watched the engine, the view, everything! When the train ride was done Zach went to pick him up to get him out of our seat and he started to put up a big fight! We managed to defuse it (amazingly!) by asking lots of questions like "Did you like riding the train?!" and "Would you like to come back again sometime and ride it again?!" along with "Do you want to eat a piece of pineapple!?" because they give you a piece when you get off the train. :) The answer to everything except for the pineapple question was a head nod. :) I've been informed that you can get a yearly pass to ride the train. We're going to look into that. For as much as he liked it I think it would be worth it. Plus the fact that it's right down the road means we don't have to pack a bunch of stuff to make it a day trip or anything. And he's free! :)

Waiting with tickets in hand. :)

"Cheeeeeeese!" We've been trying to remember to give the camera to Daddy every now and then. Otherwise it looks like Mommy never went anywhere! :)

The Pineapple Express!

Waiting is so hard when you're 2.

Our train is here!

Mama and Dada say "Cheese!" while Monkey ignores us. Family photo = Fail. :)

"Yay!" :)
Then a few weeks later we discovered there's a splash pad over on Schofield in the new housing. This is PERFECT b/c I never feel comfortable going to the pool or beach alone with Monkey yet he loves the water. So we went and Daddy went into the water with Monkey to see how he'd like it. After he determined it to be pretty cool he let Daddy put him down and they had a blast. :) Definitely something I can take him to during the day while Daddy is at work and not feel so scared about. :)

See, just water!

Well this does seem pretty cool. :)

Big smiles!

As always there are more pix on my flickr account. So go check it out for more. :)
