Monkey is 2!

Here we are. Two years to the day since I gave birth to an amazing little boy. Two years of Monkey filled fun. :) It's almost unbelievable that we're celebrating Monkey's second birthday. Wasn't he just born? Didn't we just plan his first birthday party?

Today we celebrated with presents (of course) and cake after we got home from his 2 year check up (where we found out he's right on track for height and weight, yay!). He didn't eat the cake but he DID blow out the candle all on his own! :) Then Daddy went to work and Monkey went down for a nap - he didn't sleep. See, he took a cat nap in the car on the way to the doctors and apparently that was enough to ebb the need for an afternoon nap later. We talked with Gram, Grampa and Uncle Matt through Skype and then we got a Skype call from Aunt Hair. Then we played with our new water table (which he loves!) and our new vacuum (the best gift I think, he barely put it down except for when he was playing with his water table). He even wanted to take his vacuum on the walk to get the mail but Mommy (as mean as I am) said no because it's new and I'd like to keep it that way at least for a day!

Happy Birthday my little Monkey! 2 years has flown by so fast and everyday you grow more and more. I love you so much! I can't wait to hear you start talking and learn new things in the next year. :) All my hugs and kisses forever.
