I can't believe we're planning for Monkey to turn 2 years old. When did that happen? Seriously!? Didn't I just give birth to this tiny 6 pound 1 ounce boy? Craziness.

So we already know what we're going to get Monkey for gifts. We'll do presents and cake on his actual birthday. Just the three of us. :) It'll be nice. :) Then that following weekend we're going to have some friends over to help us celebrate Monkey's arrival into the world 2 years ago. It's more of just a get together/bar-b-que/party than a "Birthday Party". We're asking for no presents just the company of friends. I will be re-using the birthday banner I made last year though. :) It took too much time and effort to not use it again! :)

So. Presents! Here's what we're planning on or already have gotten for the little Monkey to celebrate turning 2! :)


First off is the one item we've already bought. The Arctic Splash Water Table. He is going to LOVE this. :) What's great about this age is that I already bought it and the box has been sitting in the dining room for almost a week and he has no idea! :) He looked at it, pointed to it and I asked him if that looked like fun. He nodded (of course) and I told him maybe for his birthday he could get one. Lol. :) I managed to snag it at Babies R Us for $30 on sale so I was pretty happy about that. :)

Now onto the items we haven't purchased yet.


Next is the wagon. Monkey so needs a wagon. After the 3 months playing with the wagon at my in-laws we've decided that this birthday can not pass without purchasing a wagon for him. :) We like that this one has a canopy and not only a canopy but one where we can store drinks for us! :) Score! :)


Lastly, anyone who knows my kid even a little bit knows he has some sort of sick obsession with the vacuum. Our vacuum, Mim's vacuum, Gram's vacuum, Gram's cleaning lady's vacumm...any and all vacuums. So this is almost a no-brainer. :) Now I just need to FIND the darn thing at any store in the area! :)

So that's the plan for gifts. He has his 2 year checkup on his actual birthday. :) But I think we're going to hold off on shots that day and take him back later in the week. I just don't think I can knowingly have him get shots on his ACTUAL birthday. :) I know he had no idea but Mommy does and that counts for something. :)
